REVIEW OF FILM 'NAAM'
Review: "Naam"
Rating: 1/5
The film "Naam", directed by Anees Bazmee and starring Ajay Devgn, Bhumika Chawla, and Sameera Reddy, falls short on many fronts.
Key Issues:
1. Copied Plot: Allegedly inspired by the Hollywood film Face Off.
2. Poor Production Values: The film's quality feels outdated, reminiscent of 1970s productions.
3. Weak Performances: Ajay Devgn's acting is underwhelming, described as "zero," while Bhumika Chawla's performance is "below average."
4. Subpar Direction: Anees Bazmee's direction is nothing short of "torture."
5. Pathetic Story, Screenplay, and Dialogues: The writing is completely lackluster.
6. Mediocre Music: The soundtrack is dismissed as "third-class."
Box Office Performance:
The film received a weak response at the box office, with many shows being canceled due to low attendance. It turned out to be a super disaster.
I question the decision-making behind this project:
1. Why did the late producer, Dinesh Patel, choose to make this film?
2. Why did Ajay Devgn agree to be a part of such a nonsensical project?
Lastly, I thank Mr. Rungta, the new producer-cum-financier, for taking the risk to release the film. Producers like him, who pay "heavy entry fees," help keep the film industry alive, despite such setbacks.
